3 Bari-friendly Recipes that are Scary Delicious!
Fall 🍁 is my time of the year! At least, this is the time of the year that my family has special requests from me in the kitchen.
I'll be sharing three delicious comfort foods that taste too good to be healthy (but they are!)
The number one Fall (and Winter) related request I get is... chili!

Memphis blues hype seasonings
•In a skillet add ground beef, sausage, onion, and peppers.
•Add 1tbso minced garlic along with a generous amount of each seasoning above (minus the cinnamon)
•Cook until meat is thoroughly browned and cooked
While that is cooking, prepare crock pot on high and add:
•Diced tomatoes, a heaping tablespoon of tomato paste, kidney beans (drained), a tbsp of garlic, a generous amount of each seasoning (AND cinnamon)
•Stir well and add in cooked meat mixture
•Cook, covered, on high for approximately two hours (or on low for 4-6 hours) stirring occasionally
Serve while hot and top with your favorite toppings (I.e. shredded cheese, sour cream, jalapeños, etc).
Can also be served over chips, rice, noodles, and more.
Need a tasty appetizer in a hurry?
Bet. How about a 5-minute buffalo chicken dip?

Perfect addition to a charcuterie board!
Now before you say anything... I know brussel sprouts aren't for everybody. I used to feel the same way... but, if you give them half a chance you might find that you actually really enjoy these cute little baby cabbages, especially with some shrimp 🍤 .
Shrimp & Brussel Sprouts
1 package peeled and deveined shrimp 🍤
1 package fresh brussel sprouts
2 tbsp Olive oil
1tbsp Low sodium Soy sauce
Mrs Dash Complete seasoning
2 tbsp Orange marmalade
•In a skillet, coat bottom with olive oil and add brussel sprouts
•Season to taste with pepper, Mrs Dash, garlic powder, and onion powder
•Stir frequently and bring to a slight char
•Add shrimp, soy sauce, and orange marmalade
•Continue to stir until shrimp are completely cooked and serve immediately
The soy and orange marmalade serve as a sweet and savory backdrop to those Brussel sprouts bringing out the very best in this veggie.
